Jail wrongful death in which gross medical neglect caused diabetic inmate’s death in North Texas. In a pre-suit settlement, Plaintiffs had a net recovery of $786,999 after subtracting $405,000 in attorney’s fees and $8,001 in expenses.

A First Amendment civil rights suit against the McLennan County Sheriff for retaliating and firing or demoting 9 deputies because of their political affiliation and support of his opponent during campaign elections. The plaintiffs netted $1.272 million after case expenses of $67,575 and attorneys’ fees of $660,000.
Dallas Morning News – “Abuse claim settled for $1 million”
A Dallas civil rights action where Dallas police officers racially profiled, used excessive force, and falsely arrested an African-American man. Prior to trial, defendants settled netting the injured plaintiff $644,292 after expenses of $15,708 and attorney’s fees $440,000.

A civil rights action involving the false arrest and malicious prosecution of a woman for the alleged murder of her boyfriend, who had committed suicide, against the City of Dallas. Plaintiff netted $684,604 after cases expenses of $35,396 and attorneys fees of $480,000.

Excessive force civil rights action against the Dallas Police Department where several officers unreasonably beat an unarmed motorcyclist and tampered with video evidence in violation of his Fourth Amendment rights. Case expenses and attorney’s fees totaled $1,476 and $166,667 respectively. The plaintiff recovered $331,857.

Wrongful arrest case involving innocent individuals who were falsely arrested of crimes they did not commit. The so-called “Dallas Fake Drug Scandal” led to the largest settlement ever with the City of Dallas and the Dallas Police Department involving a single group of civil rights claimants. After expenses of $59,946 and attorneys’ fees of $2,394,666, the plaintiffs received $3,590,388.

Texas whistleblower case involving wrongful termination of two veteran police officers by City of Flower Mound, Texas. The case was later affirmed by the Texas Supreme Court. Plaintiffs netted $690,000 after subtracting attorney’s fees and case expenses of $460,000.

Jail medical neglect case in which a man suffered a stroke causing permanent injuries while in the Dallas County Jail. After appeals, the plaintiff netted $685,780.40 after subtracting attorneys’ fees of $17,325 and case expenses of $55,765.

Texas whistleblower case involving wrongful termination of and retaliation against a veteran police officer in Dallas. Plaintiff netted $309,000 after case expenses of $12,000 and attorney’s fees of $214,000.
